From the streets of Chicago, Buck played his first gigs as a garage band and by the age of 13 was playing professionally at a Local Eagles club. While serving with the U.S. Navy, Buck would use shore leave opportunities to play with bands. After the service Buck toured with bands between Nashville and Chicago backing Country Stars and opening shows such as, Tom T. Hall, George Jones and John Conlee. In 1977 Buck moved to the Colorado Mountains to work with his own band, Sweetwater Junction which backed up Country Star, Rick White who was a headline at the huge California Orange County Fair. Buck moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2001 doing a solo show for many years and playing in the very popular Spur of the Moment band. Currently, Buck is performing as a Solo Artist around Tucson and Green Valley.
